Fly the Flag Program

The Parkville Rotary Club was formed on March 26, 1946 under sponsorship of the Kansas City Club. Parkville Rotary currently has SS members and meets Fridays at noon in the Woodard Conference Center in the Park University Underground. The University is also home to the Rotary Club archives and museum.
Service projects undertaken by the Parkville Rotary Club early in its history included promoting and helping to organize the Parkville Volunteer Fire Department as well as Parkville Community Center and the Drug Rehabilitation Center. Recently, the Parkville Rotary Club donated a clock to the City of Parkville.
Parkville Rotary Club has served the community since its inception to aid people of all ages, from children to senior citizens. Rotary provides assistance to victims of floods, tornadoes and hurricanes, stocks food pantries, awards scholarships, and provides funding for various community organizations and outreach projects such as funding local parks and playgrounds.

$60 fee annually to display the American flag at your home and/or business on the following holidays:
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veterans Day
Flag will be placed 8 to 10 feet from curb or sidewalk directly in front of home or business for each holiday. Flags are 3'x5' and will be placed on an 8-foot-tall wooden pole that will be placed into a steel holder hidden in the ground.*
Parkville Rotary Club provides the flag, labor, maintenance and storage while YOU show your patriotism, support this community project, and beautify your home or business and neighborhood.
Proceeds of the program enable Rotary to continue a long record of Service Above Self. Information regarding use of proceeds and Parkville Rotary are available upon request.
We thank you for your commitment!
