Honor Flags Celebration

The Honor Flags Celebration is presented to the public by the founding members of the Hearts for Children Foundation, Inc. (H4C) organization and the Board of Directors.

The Honor Flags Celebration is designed to create and build an annual community event that acknowledges those persons and organizations that have positively influenced our lives while respecting and honoring the Flag Day concept.

Celebration Details for 2022:

The 2nd annual Honor Flags Celebration will be held from June 11th – June 19, 2022. Depending upon the demand, up to five hundred (500) full-size (3’ x 5’) American Flags will be flown on 7-foot flagpoles in the Field of Honor which will be located on the grounds of the Wake Forest Historical Museum at 414 N Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Also, for the 2022 Honor Flags Celebration, H4C anticipates setting up a new Field of Honor in the Youngsville, NC area if you would like to have your flag flown in that community.

The individual or corporate partner will be able to recognize one honoree for every flag adopted. A medallion will be hung on a flagpole with the name of the adopter, the honoree’s name, and a brief comment about the honoree (i.e. relationship to the adopter, military rank, and era(s) of service, etc.).

Flag adopters, community members, and business owners will be able to walk through the Field of Honor at any time during the celebration period to find their honoree(s)’ medallion(s).

Shortly after the conclusion of the celebration event, the Honor Flags committee members and volunteers will remove the community-sponsored medallions from their respective flagpoles and return the medallions to the partner to be kept as a memorial keepsake or to be given to the honoree.
